The Goddess of wealth (popularly known as AJE), is one of the 401 gods that is being worshipped. The main capacity and strength of the goddess of wealth is to provide sufficient wealth and greater economic benefits for whoever worships her. AJE is known to be the daughter of Olokun, but nevertheless, Olokun himself respects AJE and that is why it is sometimes being referred to as AJE Olokun. In fact, some are of the believe that it is essential to praise AJE before anyone can get favour from Olokun, this is due to the fact that AJE is the only daughter of Olokun and Olokun loves her dearly.

AJE can be found in waters, which was the source of spending cowries before the advent of present currencies. This source of AJE can be found in the justification for the preference goddess of wealth given to neatness. All she takes are banana, beans, ekuru, oyin (honey) and so on. All these could be said to be the main reasons why all you see about AJE is white clothes, cowries e.t.c and all must be clean.

How Can Anyone Benefit From AJE?

There is no doubt, that we have some ladies with the spirit of AJE. This spirit in its real sense has no damage to the lady herself, neither to the beneficiary. Also noted by our source, such female may ordinarily not know that there is the existence of any spirit in her and this is why we have most of them distributing their glory from one man to another. The verse is an illustration of the experience of Orunmila when he went searching for the goddess of wealth at Oja Ejigbo mon’kun. Orunmila, like others was in search of the goddess but he did not rush; he took his time and followed the instructions given to him. Others went in search of the goddess of wealth but the goddess hid herself from them, seeing their desperation. When they had left, Orunmila came on goat as directed and the goddess of wealth chose to follow him. On getting home, Orunmila offered her banana and other special foods she like. The goddess of wealth was so pleased and she became the great source of wealth that Orumila has till now.
