Ìmúsé is an ancient traditional town under Isugan local government. The Community was established around 17th century by olodes, descendants of oke omele kingdom.
Formerly ìmúsé land was called Ìtèmó-Òdé,in the era of 1304-1411 Ìtèmó-Òdé is one of the Ancient powerful kingdom under Oke omele,The kingdom is located around the present Ìmúsé to isugan,The founder of the kingdom is Àpótun Òpèré olokiodé he migrated from igbira kingdom,he is a brave hunter,he passed through oke omele kingdom and move down to Savannah land with many hunters and name the place"itedo awon Omo odé"was short to Ìtèmó-Òdé, because the city is full of hunters.

After hundred years of Ìtèmó-Òdé kingdom,they went into battle with Oke omele kingdom,Oke omele army's conquer Ìtèmó-Òdé and sack the city of Ìtèmó-Òdé,But the army's don't kill the people some of them fled away and established another settlement,After demolished of Ìtèmó-Òdé kingdom,there king Olódé:Àmojogun the third king was taking to oke omele kingdom with some of his people,Àdólubàdo is the baale of oke omele then,When Àmojogun was taking to oke omele he begged Àdólubàdo not to kill him, Àdólubàdo tell him that he will not release him but made him chief of all hunters in oke omele kingdom and he must take oat with him because Ìtèmó-Òdé people are very good in hunting,Àmojogun agreed to do so,The next day Àdólubàdo take out with Ogun deity and take oat with it,the place is called odé-ibura Meaning the place of taking oat,Àmojogun was installed as the first Olódé of Oke omele kingdom,His son Akulode was installed as the Arelodé there all settle in Ode ibura-Agbode quarter of oke omele kingdom.

The founder of Ìmúsé is from Olódé descedant he came from ode ibura quarter his name is Àsefun-Kolódé he is a brave hunter,Ìmúsé town was found after 700 years demolished of Ìtèmó-Òdé kingdom,Àsefun-Kolódé is from Àmojogun descedant,he moved to òjó town he spent many years there,asefun is gifted he know how to track animals legs in the forest,his follow hunters start calling him "Àmé'sé eran toó"Meaning tracker of wild animals,After some years he later moved to the forest and established a new settlement area called oke odé,After some years Some people from Odan olumejo town come to settle down with him,his name is fadóhun Ahelefà,Asefun introduce himself "Emi ni Àmé'sé eran igbo'he welcome fadóhun Ahelefà with his people, fadóhun and his people move down and established isale iledu"Meaning isalé ilé dudu",Baba Àmé'sé was later short to Ìmúsé, Àsefun-Kolódé was installed as the first baale of Ìmúsé town.
