One month after Arthur's death, Elizabeth was already with child.

But, this time, something was not right with this pregnancy. And she felt it.
She got sick during her stay at Woodstock in July 1502 and her apothecary was summoned and paid to deliver some " goods for the Queen's necessity ".

On November 14th she was visited at Westminster by 2 nurses, one French, who then accompanied her to the Barnard castle.

There were all considered as preparations for the birth, although there were not mentioned for her previous pregnancies.

Although she had still 6 weeks until her term, Elizabeth wished the Virgin Mary girdle to be brought from Westminster, which proofs her anxiety resulting from a difficult pregnancy.

During Christmas that year, she insisted to participate at the Richmond celebrations. Perhaps to keep her mind occupied, she played chass and bet 100 shillings. Among the gifts she and the king received , there was a horoscope belonged to William Parron -Excellent fortunes of Henry Duke of York and his parents.

This included the inexact prediction that the queen will reach the age of 80. At the end of January, the Queen left Richmond. Her destination-the Tower of London in a barje on a frozen Thames. Margaret Beaufort accompanied her. The baby was not yet expected, but either because the date was wrong calculated or she was premature, on February 2nd 1503 the queen delivered a girl. Elizabeth had Alice Massy, her favorite midwife to assist, but nevertheless the labor was difficult. The baby was named Katherine. The mother and the child were not well so a messenger was sent to Kent for a doctor named Aylsworth. The Queen s symptoms were not clear , she possible had a puerperall infection and the baby continued to lose weight. On February 10th the little princess died and Elizabeth followed her the next day, on her birthday. She was 37 years old.
