RIVERS ASSEMBLY SPEAKER REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO CONSTITUENTS
As Evo Assembly Throws Weight Behind Speaker.
The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule has reaffirmed his commitment to bringing the dividends of democracy to his people.
The Speaker made the reaffirmation at the Evo Assembly meeting held on Sunday at Oginigba, Obio /Akpor Local Government Area.
Speaking at the meeting, the Speaker thanked the people of Evo for their unwavering support over the years, and stated that he would reciprocate in like manner in his service to the people.
Making his remarks earlier, the Leader of Evo Assembly, Elder Peter Chinwo, stressed on the group's unwavering support for Rt. Hon. Amaewhule, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly because of his commitment to the development of his constituency; adding that the Evo Assembly will continue to support their own, in recognition of his exemplary leadership qualities.
Elder Peter Chinwo enthused, "Rt Hon. Martin Amaewhule has proven himself as a transformative leader with a clear vision for our State".
Also speaking, the Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Hon. O. K. Chinda, and the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Barr. George Ariolu, thanked the people of Evo for standing by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule.
