Ip Man, also known as Yip Man ,Born 1 October 1893 Died 2 December 1972) was a Hong Kong-based Cantonese martial artist and a grandmaster of the martial art Wing Chun when he was 20. He had several students who later became martial arts masters in their own right, the most famous among them being Bruce Lee.
He was portrayed by the actor Don Yen in most of the films franchise.
It is said that Ip Man fought so many ordeal who came across against him. Including ten black belt Karate-ka, Chinese masters martial arts and Twister, an arrogant boxer.
Ip Man died of throat cancer in December of 1972, preceding his more famous and much younger student, Bruce Lee, in death by only seven months. Lee was only 32 when he died while finishing work on his final film, Enter the Dragon.
