The history of Esu and the difference between Esu and Satan

Èsù is the Spiritual Force of Justice and Fairness, deliberately created by Olodumare.

Satan has no place whatsoever in Yoruba Spirituality.

The spiritual, and historical trajectories of Èsù and Satan are totally different.

Their attributes are also at variance with one another. Most importantly;

1.ÈSÙ is a DELIBERATE, not an ACCIDENTAL creation of Olodumare.

2. Èsù was created to police the world and His creation. No matter what or who you are, Èsù will punish you if you contravene the Divine Laws.

3. Èsù has as his core mandate, the enforcement of the LAW OF SOWING AND REAPING without fear or favour.

4. Èsu visits Ilé Ayé (Planet Earth) 201 times and returns to Òde Ọ̀run every day.

(a) Satan, on the other hand was an ACCIDENTAL creation of (an "All knowing" ? )...Allah? Yahweh? or God?

(b) Satan later gathered "warriors" to wage wars on this "All knowing" creator and has been perpetrating only evil ever since.

(c) This "all knowing" creator has even at various times, engaged the services of Satan to visit calamities on his creatures.

(d) Satan destroys without cause or reason.

Until the ingress of slavery and colonialism into these parts, Satan did not exist in our psyche.

It was that Slaveboy, Samuel Ajayi Crowther (who was enslaved, converted into Anglican Christianity, used and dumped and later abandoned to die a shameful and ignominious death by his colonial English Slave masters), who translated Satan to mean Èsù.

If Satan is not Èsù in Hausa, Igbo, Tiv, Fulfude, Swahili English, French, German, Hindu Shinto, Persian, Russian, etc, why is Satan called or equated with Èsù in Yoruba? This is simply a result of colonial self-abnegation and shallow reasoning.

ÈSÙ IS THE SPIRITUAL POLICEMAN OF THE WORLD.

If you don't have skeletons in your spiritual cupboard, why should you be scared of a policeman?
