There are more than 2000 of such places and sites in Nigeria but these 60 were carefully selected. It doesn't signify that those not enlisted are not as important as the ones here. The numbering does not depict there importance.

1. Ibeno Beach
A blissful destination for tourists stretched over 245km on a sand bank in Ibeno lies the Ibeno Beach, a little haven for leisure seekers

2. Obudu Mountain Resort

3. Awhum Waterfall
Awhum boasts of numerous immaculate lakes, waterfall and a monastery. The waterfall forms beautiful scenery where water cascades over its top forming a stream, which has become a religious tourist site. It is close to the Awhum Monastery.

4. Arochukwu Long Juju Slave Route
The sacred altar, a six foot gully that takes people to the temple and the waterfall in Arochukwu Long Juju Slave route, beg tourists to explore the shrine of Ibn Ukpabi and the cult momument of Kamula.

8. Alok Ikom Monoliths
300 carved stones standing upright in circles, facing each others in groups with images and texts inscribed on the monoliths are how you would see Alok Ikom Monoliths (UNESCO World Heritage Site) that are in form of a phallus.

9. Isaac Boro Garden Park
Isaac Boro Garden Park is situated opposite the Mile One Bridge along the Old GRA in Port Harcourt. Today, it has become a tourist location where baseball and softball are played and a center for trade fairs and live entertainment. The tomb of Major Isaac Boro, a soldier killed in the Nigeria Civil War lies here.

14. Sukur Cultural Landscape

17. Oban Hills
Korup National Park of Cameroon shares a border with the Oban Hills. Home to a lot of wildlife and plants; and this is one of the few places on earth you can find the Xavier’s Green Bull the Cassin’s Hawk eagle, Crested Guinea fowl, Bat Hawk and over 400 Chimpanzees lives here.

18. Oke-Idanre Hill
A visit to the Oke-Idanre Hill gives a tourist access to a lot of spectacular valleys that are interspersed with inselbelgs and high plain about the sea level. 19. Ogbunike Caves
Ogbunike Caves make an idea tourists destination. These caves are closely associated with historical and spiritual significance. There are 317 steps that need to be used to descend down to the caves. It is a UNESCO Heritage Site.

20. Ancient Kano City Walls

27. Dodan Barracks
Dodan Barracks is a military barracks located in Ikoyi ,
Lagos, Nigeria . The barracks was the Supreme Military Headquarters during the Nigerian Civil War and from 1966 to 1979 and 1983 to 1985 . Dodan Barracks was the official residence of the military heads of state of the Nigerian military juntas of 1966–79 and 1983–99 , and also the Supreme Military Headquarters from 1966 until the move to Abuja in 1991.

28. Nike Lake Resort

30. Olumo Rock
It is a mountain in south-western Nigeria . It is located in the ancient city of Abeokuta , Ogun State , and was normally used during inter-tribal warfare in the 19th century. Its patron spirit is venerated in the Yoruba religion as an orisha .

31. Gangirwal
Gangirwal is Nigeria's highest mountain, Gangirwal, stands at 7,963 ft (2,419 m) and is found in the Adamawa mountains in a remote corner of Gashaka-Gumti National Park (GGNP).

32. Bagega Gold Field
This is one of the major deposits sites of gold....and mining has been taking place here. It is already attracting tourists despite the fact that much has not been done to fully commercialize mining.

33. Oloibiri Oil Field
Olobiri is a community in Ogbia LGA located in Bayelsa State, in the eastern Niger Delta region of Nigeria. It houses oil field. This is the first place Oil was first discovered in Nigeria. Oloibiri is a historic town to the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.

34. National Theatre

35. lgbo-Ukwu
lgbo-Ukwu, an ancient town in Anambra State has a historic significance. Tourist has continued to pour in to observe its bronze artifacts. 36. Benue Hills
The hills of Benue are among the top best destinations in the nation. It has a hilly topography which is a major tourist’s attraction, among them are:

37. Oguta Lake Holiday Complex
Oguta Lake contains fresh water and is the largest natural Lake in Nigeria after lake Chad. 40. Lake Chad

41. Sillicon Hill
The silicon Hill is above 300 metres above sea level about half kilometre long and is made of silica a raw material used in the manufacture of glass. The hills and its surroundings is such a natural splendor and perfect spot for sightseeing.

42. The Agia Tree/First Storey Building
Christianity was first preached in Nigeria under the Agia Tree at Market Street, in the ancient city of Badagry. Though, the tree has now fallen, that spot is a tourist’s magnate. Also the first ever storey building in Nigeria, which was erected in Marina Badagry in 1845 by Rev Henry Townsend.

43. Confluence Point
River Niger and River Benue are the two largest Rivers in West Africa. The confluence of the two rivers is in Lokoja forming Y-shape when view from the top and flowing together to the Atlantic Ocean. River Benue has a light green colour while River Niger has a light brown colour. There boat and ferry services at the confluence of the two Rivers.

44. Zuma Rock
The Zuma Rock is believed to possess some mystical powers. A human face is engraved on the side rock facing the road. The rock exudes natural splendor and is a perfect spot for picnic.

45. Gurara Waterfalls

46. Jos Wildlife Park
This Nigeria’s best man-made wildlife park is home to buffalos, lions, hippos, pythons, pigmy, horses, crocodiles, birds and many more wildlife. 47. Wase Rock
Wase rock is a dome shaped rock that is a breeding site to Pelican birds. It rises up to 350 metres above sea level making it a favourite attraction for geologists, bird watchers, geographers and mountaineers.

The plateau has an undulating setting with temperate climate and is roughly 1,830 metres above sea level.

51. Amalgamation House
It was in this iconic facility that the Former Colonial governor, Lord Luggard, amalgamated the southern and Northern Nigeria in 1914 thus giving birth to the nation Nigeria. The cease fire that ended the Nigerian civil war was declared here. Opposite the Amalgamation house is the building that was Lord Luggard residence during the time of amalgamation..

52. Kainji Lake National Park
This is closely linked with the famous Kainji lake oil hydroelectric complex. It lies between Borgu and Zugurma sectors of Kwara State. It can be reached through Lokoja, from Lagos through Ibadan, Ilorin and Jebba. The park is full of diverse wildlife, a variety of ethno-historical and cultural sites amongst which are Kobs, antelopes, hippopotamus, lions etc

53. Abakaliki Green Lake
